Family farm in organic farming on 17 ha of orchards located in the A.O.C. Calvados Domfrontais, Calvados and Pommeau de Normandie's area. Calvados' growers and producers.
Our family farm is located in North Mayenne, in the AOC Calvados Domfrontais area. We transform our own fruits from its orchards, having a favorable soil for the manufacture of products rich in aromas and flavors. Our orchards have a multitude of local varieties of bitter and sweet cider apples: “Petit Frequin rouge”, “Damelot”, “Tardive de la Sarthe” ... which are carefully chosen and assembled in the making of our products such as: Apple juice, Cider, Pommeau de Normandie and Calvados.
With varieties of ancestral perry pears, our perries, our Calvados Domfrontais, as well as our aperitif “Douceur de poiré”, obtain a fruity, rustic character specific to Domfrontais which will accompany your meals.
The apples and pears harvested are crushed and pressed,. Then, we obtain a juice which ferments slowly and the distillation is made with our ORTHES still. Our Calvados obtained from this distillation are aged in 110 to 400 liters oak barrels, which gives the products amber colors and woody aromas.
On our farm, we invite you to discover our Cider Museum, a free visit with scenography, activities to understand the manufacture of juice, cider and Calvados. You will learn about the tools of the past and videos of how we practise today. During your visit, you will walk the small path in the middle of orchards.
Children will be able to understand cider making using a playbook.
We will offer you a tasting of our products.
