Production since 1950 of calvados, perry, cider, apple / pear juice ... expertise and family knowledge that will delight your taste buds.
Created in 1950, the Norman Cave's estate is a family business with values. We produce calvados, cider, farm perry, apple juice, pear juice, pear aperitif. We also benefit from the Domfrontais appellation which is a guarantee of quality! It was in 1944, at only 18 years old, that our grandfather acquired his first still to become a traveling distiller. In 1974, Daniel Guesdon, his son, installed on a breeding farm in St-Cyr-du-Bailleul wanted to perpetuate the tradition, then my brother and I joined forces in order to perpetuate this knowledge and this know-how. The company is surrounded by our farm and our 100-year-old apple and pear trees, planted by our grandparents, with typical Domfrontais varities such as "Plant de Blanc, Fausset, Blot, Champagne or even Gros Gontier". In a framework that facilitates the production of apples and pears, production and harvesting take place in the best conditions: our fruits are harvested manually or mechanically and then sent to the processing room where they are washed, sorted and crushed.
Located 45 minutes from Mont-St-Michel and 10 minutes from Domfront, the company offers a visit to the aging cellar and tasting of products from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. For groups, by reservation, the visit can be supplemented by the discovery of the orchards and the processing workshop. The visit lasts an average of 1h30. Our shop is accessible directly on the site.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
