CIDRES LA POMMERAIE
Cidres La Pommeraie, a quality small-scale cider producer who has won numerous awards at the Paris General Agricultural Show.
As cider producers since 1996, we are determined to continue producing quality. As we are developing all the time, we need to expand our volumes and hence our production facility. The recent installation of 10 new vats each holding 50,000 litres, in addition to our existing vats, has increased our storage capacity. 10 more vats are due to be fitted in September 2006. It is also planned to set up a bottling line specially designed for beer-type kegs, which will be a further addition to our range. The making of a medium-dry organic sparkling cider last season ought to spark other projects such as for instance production of an organic apple juice.
On the outskirts of the Alpes Mancelles, a listed beauty spot, we can handle parties by prior booking. The programme includes a bit of background as to how the company was set up, a presentation of the range of products and how they are made, a Calvados lesson, tour of the bottling plant, and tasting of the Perry, Sweet and extra dry cider and Pommeau de Normandie for a total outlay of €2 per head.
With sales possible at the end of the tour, allow for about 1hr30 to 2hrs.
