CIDRERIE DISTILLERIE LE PÈRE MAHIEU

We invite you to visit our artisanal distillery cider house in organic farming in the typical setting of a 1920s farm.
The Père Mahieu cider house has been producing cider since the 1920s. After a period of inactivity in the 1950s and 1960s, production was relaunched in the 1980s by Émile and Jocelyne Mahieu, who replanted 5 hectares of orchards. In 2006, when the cider house was taken over by Alain Pismont, the production was renamed "Le Père Mahieu cider house", it was deliberately oriented towards the highest possible quality and the orchards were converted to organic farming. All apples used in the production of cider products come from our orchards.
Visits are all day in French, English and German. It takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour of visit. During the visit you will be able to discover the cleaning and processing area, the aging cellar, the Calvados cellar to finish with the bottling with at the end a tasting of our entire range from AOP Cotentin cider to apple juice via Calvados and Pommeau de Normandie.
Possibility to accommodate groups on request (coach parking).
Access for people with reduced mobility.
We are located a few kilometers from La Hague, Val de Saire and the beaches.
